The team here at Corporate Experience has decided to publish
this newsletter to provide our clients and future clients with some
useful information (at least we think it’s useful) to assist you
when planning your next corporate
event.
Event planning is all we do, but we know it’s not all you
do. We know that a lot
of the event planning work at many companies ends up being delegated
to people that were hired for other functions – their “real”
job. In an effort to
provide assistance to these people, we thought we’d provide some
tips for planning an event that will exceed expectations, and make
you look great in the process.
The most critical element in producing a
successful event is planning.
And that takes time.
The best advice we can give is to start early. It’s never too soon to start
planning your next event. Avoid the “Scarlet
O’Hara Syndrome” … don’t think about it tomorrow! As soon as you know that an
event is being scheduled, immediately start the process to select
and book the venue…even if your event isn’t happening until the
following year. Many
times advanced booking will save you money by locking in the current
price and avoiding next year’s inevitable increases. And the choice dates will
almost always still be available.
Early planning also gives you the time to explore
alternatives, develop creative presentations, and formulate plans for success.
Let’s face it. We’ve all been to at least
one really boring conference, meeting or banquet.
Remember, a well planned event
will be successful, less stressful, and pay dividends.
And
more importantly, your guests have an unforgettable
experience.
And if you
really want to look like a star, hire us to plan your next
event. We are experts
at planning successful meetings and events. That’s what we
do.
And that’s
why we say, great events don’t just happen…they’re planned.
